Motel
Lovers

Here
I am again it seems, with memories of broken dreams
Photographs of when I used to love, seems so long ago
At times I stop and think about how it could have been
If I had only showed my heart before we both turned into
Lovers,
motel lovers, we play a loser’s game, exchanging heartaches and the pain
With lovers, motel lovers, and some will never change
Stolen
moments I recall that seem to be so new
I looked and saw me in your eyes, a life that I’ve been through
I played with lovers carelessly like whispers on the wind
And then the curtain showed right through me, and saw how I had sinned, with
those
Lovers,
motel lovers, we play a loser’s game, exchanging heartaches and the pain
With lovers, motel lovers, and some will never change
There
came a night so right for love, and we were all alone
I gave her every part of me, and thought that we were one
But morning saw me reach for her, and kiss her with my hand
An empty place beside me left me where it all began |
